西南大學(xué)教授、博士、博士生導(dǎo)師、中國科學(xué)院博士后、荷蘭瓦赫寧根農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)訪問學(xué)者。2010年獲國務(wù)院政府特殊津貼。分別于1986年、1989年、2001年在西南農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)獲得學(xué)士、碩士和博士學(xué)位。1989年留校任助教,1991年任講師，1997年任副教授，2002年至今任教授、博士生導(dǎo)師。其中, 1998年9月 - 1999年8月在荷蘭瓦赫寧根農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)做訪問學(xué)者。 2002年4月 - 2007年6月在中國科學(xué)院植物研究所洪德元院士指導(dǎo)下做博士后合作研究。

主要學(xué)術(shù)和行政兼職:

國家農(nóng)業(yè)部農(nóng)產(chǎn)品質(zhì)量安全專家組成員。中國農(nóng)業(yè)科學(xué)院杰出人才計(jì)劃二級（柑橘）學(xué)科帶頭人，重慶市園藝學(xué)會、重慶市風(fēng)景園林學(xué)會、重慶市植物學(xué)會副理事長，全國農(nóng)業(yè)推廣碩士專業(yè)學(xué)位教育指導(dǎo)委員會成員，《果樹學(xué)報》、《西南大學(xué)學(xué)報》（自然科學(xué)版）現(xiàn)任編委,《Botanical Journal of Linnean Society》、《園藝學(xué)報》等國內(nèi)外9個科學(xué)雜志審稿人。國家自然科學(xué)基金、科技部、教育部等國內(nèi)各種科研項(xiàng)目通訊評審專家。 現(xiàn)任西南大學(xué)園藝園林學(xué)院院長。

自1985年開始,先后從事柑橘、蘋果、牡丹等園藝作物資源，馬鈴薯休眠的分子生物學(xué)研究。先后主持國內(nèi)外各類科研項(xiàng)目20余項(xiàng)，在國內(nèi)外發(fā)表科學(xué)論文60余篇，其中以獨(dú)立或第一作者完成的論文30余篇，SCI論文10余篇。曾獲1999年教育部科學(xué)技術(shù)進(jìn)步二等獎1項(xiàng)（第七完成人）， 2008年重慶市自然科學(xué)三等獎1項(xiàng)（第二完成人），2010年重慶市自然科學(xué)三等獎1項(xiàng)（第一完成人）。從2007年開始，主要從事果品營養(yǎng)學(xué)研究，2011年在國內(nèi)首次正式論述“果品營養(yǎng)學(xué)”的概念。 2012年編著并出版該領(lǐng)域第一部專著《柑橘果品營養(yǎng)學(xué)》。果品營養(yǎng)學(xué)是集現(xiàn)代果樹學(xué)、食品學(xué)和醫(yī)學(xué)的理論和方法為一體的一門新興交叉學(xué)科，主要利用現(xiàn)代分子生物學(xué)和組學(xué)技術(shù)研究果實(shí)生物活性物質(zhì)的代謝及其遺傳和環(huán)境調(diào)控，果品生物活性物質(zhì)對人體營養(yǎng)和健康的作用以及科學(xué)、安全利用等問題。它的發(fā)展對我國豐富的野生果樹種質(zhì)資源的利用、果樹產(chǎn)業(yè)鏈的拓展和人體的“健康安全”等各方面都具有重要的理論和實(shí)踐意義。
